history of beautification and neighborhood
preservation in Chicago’s Gold Coast community.
The organization was founded in 1954 for the purpose
of restoring North Dearborn Parkway to its
pre-World War II grandeur. Most widely known for its
annual Dearborn Garden Walk, the NDA is much more.
